Route Info

This challenging and exhilarating walk takes you high up on the windswept Kinder plateau, one of the great upland areas of the gritstone ‘Dark Peak’. The ascent of Kinder is the first stage of the Pennine Way, and when you reach the summit you can enjoy spectacular views across the Vale of Edale.

Along this route you can also take in the breathtaking spectacle of The Woolpacks, Crowden Tower and other mysterious rock formations. These strangely curved stones have been fashioned and polished by the weather over many centuries.
